How to do a farmhouse wedding without making it look like you tried to do a farmhouse wedding...

Farmhouse is so in right now all over and we are 100% here fo r it. it even creeped it's way into the cities. good job, farmhouse. but even though this style is more widely accepted, it has always been our signature look here in Paso, and we are glad everyone is on this farmhouse train.

now, here is the key to a beautiful farmhouse wedding without making it look like you tried too hard.

1. Please, keep it simple.
with a plethora of fun vendors to choose from, it is easy to start filling up your venue with anything and everything. Try adding in natural elements such as wild flowers or herbs. Keep it sooooo simple! Do not overload with flowers and balloon garlands. Let your rustic, country venue speak for itself. It is all about natural beauty here.

2. make sure your guests are in the right attire
although any good woman loves an excuse to put tall heels on, your dirty n' dusty farmhouse wedding may not be the place for it. platform sandals or flats or hey, even some boots may do the trick a bit better. So, let's call it "Summertime semi-formal".

3. time your ceremony just right
Do not have your ceremony in the middle of the day where your guests are melting in the sun and swatting away flies. Time your ceremony to be around 4 or 5 in the evening. the sun will be just right and you can time to have some golden hour portraits in the vineyard afterwards (your photog will love you for this!).
